On-Page SEO

Pages That Answer the Question – Not Just Repeat the Keyword

Most on-page work begins with a keyword list. We begin with the person who typed it – what they were trying to find out, and whether your page gives them a straight answer before they go back to the search results.

Our Philosophy

Why We Start with the Searcher, Not the Search Term

Before we touch a title tag, we ask what each page is for and who is supposed to land on it. That one question decides more about the outcome than any technical fix that follows it.

About this service

What On-Page SEO Actually Changes for Your Business

Most businesses meet on-page SEO as a report – a long list of missing meta descriptions, ALT tags and heading errors, with no indication of which ones matter. Fixing a hundred small flags on pages nobody was ever going to buy from is busywork. The work that changes something starts one level up: which of your pages deserve to rank at all, and what would a visitor need to read on them before getting in touch.

On-page SEO covers everything on your own pages that decides whether a search engine – and a person – can tell what a page is about and trust it.

What Clients Say About On-Page SEO

"We wanted more than basic on-page SEO. Thinkers Media combined AI-driven analysis with smart keyword targeting, content optimization, and internal linking. The result was a website that felt better organized, more relevant, and much stronger for search."
- Michael Brown, United States

The words, the headings that organise them, the title that shows up in the search result, the images, the links between your pages, and the markup describing all of it in the background. Unlike backlinks or ads, it sits entirely within your control, which makes it the most durable part of getting found.

Our work starts with a page-by-page audit rather than a keyword list. We pull twelve months of Search Console data to see what each page is already being found for, compare that with what it was written to rank for, and flag pages competing against each other for the same term – one of the most common problems we find, and one no amount of rewriting fixes on its own. Then we read the pages currently ranking for each of your target queries to see what they answer that yours does not, and rebuild from there: intent first, structure second, wording last.

Done properly, this stops being a monthly line item and becomes part of how your site is built – pages that stay relevant, get found for what they were written for, and give a visitor a straight answer without needing to be re-optimised every quarter.

What’s Included:

Every on-page SEO engagement includes these as standard – not optional extras.

How we work in 2026

AI Is Part of Every On-Page SEO Engagement

On-page work used to mean sampling: check ten pages, read the top three competitors, make an educated guess about the rest. AI-assisted analysis removes the sampling. We compare every page you have against everything currently ranking for your terms, and group months of real search queries into the questions behind them – so the hours you pay for go into rewriting and judgement, not collating spreadsheets.

Intent, Read at Scale
We group months of Search Console queries into the actual questions people are asking, instead of picking the ten with the highest search volume. That shows us which of your pages are being found for something they were never written to answer - usually the fastest win available on a site.
Faster Rewrites, Sharper Structure
The mechanical half of a rewrite is now quick: comparing your page against the ones outranking it, flagging sections that under-answer the query, generating clean schema, checking heading logic across a hundred URLs at once. You get changes across a whole site in the time it once took to do a dozen pages.
Human Expertise, Smarter Tools
AI does not decide what your page should say. A person who has spoken to you about your business decides what each page is for, what claim it can honestly make, and whether the copy sounds like you - and a person edits every line before it goes live. Pages written entirely by a model read like pages written entirely by a model, and both readers and search engines are getting better at spotting them.
Our Approach

How an On-Page SEO Project Works

Every engagement starts the same way: we look hard at what you already have before suggesting anything new. Most sites do not need more pages – they need fewer, better-defined ones. Here is how a typical project runs from the first crawl to the reporting.

Audit & Prioritise

We crawl every page, pull twelve months of Search Console and Analytics data, and mark each URL keep, merge, rewrite or redirect. You get that list ordered by likely business impact, not by number of errors.

Map the Intent

For each priority page we look at what currently ranks for its target query and what those results actually answer. That decides whether the page needs a rewrite, a restructure, or a different target altogether.

Rewrite & Rebuild

Titles, headings, body copy, internal links, image files and schema - changed in staged batches so we can see what moved and what did not. Nothing goes live without your review.

Measure & Refine

We track rankings, traffic and enquiries for eight to twelve weeks after the changes are live, then revisit the pages that underperformed. You keep the page map, the reporting, and a documented reason for every change.
What You Receive

Your Complete On-Page SEO Foundation

By the end of a project you know what every page on your site is for, which ones earn their place, and what to do the next time you add one.

A Complete Page Inventory
Every URL on your site listed with its target query, its current performance, and a keep, merge or redirect decision. Most clients find pages in here they had forgotten existed.
A Search Intent Map
Each priority page matched to the question it answers and the buying stage that question belongs to. It is what stops two of your pages competing for the same term the next time someone adds content.
Rewritten Page Content
Titles, meta descriptions, headings and body copy rewritten to answer the query directly and read like a person wrote them. The copy is yours to keep and reuse anywhere.
An Internal Linking Structure
Deliberate paths between your service pages, blog posts and contact page, so a visitor who lands on an article has somewhere obvious to go next. On most sites this is the largest untapped ranking asset already sitting there.
Schema and Markup Setup
FAQ, Service and Breadcrumb markup added in the page code so search engines and AI answer engines can read your pages properly. This is what puts your answers into featured snippets and AI overviews.
Reporting You Can Read
A monthly view of rankings, organic traffic and enquiries, with a plain-language note on what changed and why. Not an automated export nobody opens.
Common questions

Questions We Hear Most Often

The audit and intent mapping take two to three weeks for a typical 20–40 page site, and changes then go live in staged batches over the following month. Search engines usually take another six to twelve weeks to reflect them, longer on competitive commercial terms. Anyone promising movement in a fortnight is guessing.

Access to Google Search Console, Analytics and your CMS, plus someone we can ask questions about the business. The real ask is a few hours of that person’s time during the intent stage — you know your customers’ language better than we do, and pages written without that input read generically. After that, your involvement is reviewing drafts.

That worked until roughly 2013 and now actively hurts. Search engines match pages to intent, not to keyword counts, so a page that repeats a phrase eleven times while answering the question badly loses to one that answers it well. The keyword tells us what a page should be about; it does not tell us what to write.

We monitor for eight to twelve weeks, report monthly, and revisit the pages that did not move. After that you can keep us on monthly or take it in-house – either way you have the page map, the reasoning behind every change and the reporting, and we will walk your team through it.

On-page is usually the right place to start because it is entirely within your control. Technical SEO makes sure your pages can be crawled and load quickly; off-page work builds the authority that makes them competitive on harder terms. If your site has serious speed or indexing problems, we will tell you to fix those first – on-page changes on a site Google struggles to crawl are wasted effort.

Yes, and in most cases we would rather. We audit what exists first, and the opening recommendations often involve merging or removing pages rather than adding them. We work on WordPress, Shopify and custom builds — if your CMS makes a particular change impossible, we will say so before scoping, not halfway through.

It is scoped per project, because the work depends on how many pages matter, how much copy needs rewriting rather than adjusting, and whether we are writing the content or editing yours. We quote the audit and the first round of changes as a fixed price before any work starts, so you know what finding out costs before committing to fixing it. Ongoing monthly work is quoted separately.

Not sure which of your pages are actually earning their place?

Send us your URL and we will look at what your pages are currently being found for and where the gap is. No jargon, no lengthy proposal – just a straight conversation about which pages are worth the work.
